Biography:

Beenish Saba is a Leading Engineering as Agents of Change and Equity (LEGACY) postdoctoral scholar in the Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department. Her research focuses on bioelectrochemical systems for wastewater treatment and food waste valorization. She has a Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from FABE as a Fulbright Scholar from Pakistan. During her Ph.D., she won an Office of Energy and Environment research grant and a semester abroad fellowship at the National Laboratory, Paris, France. She also worked as a visiting researcher at the University of California Santa Barba. Ms. Saba authored 20 research articles as the first author and five book chapters. She is currently working under the mentorship of Prof. Ann Christy, Prof. Katrina Cornish, and Prof. Ajay Shah.
